Mobspawner Farms - What to do if there are too many

  1. Added a silk-touch spawner plugin to my 100+ player server.
    Now there are too many spawner farms on the server.
    Some have over 200+ spawners all in one place.
    Any ideas on how to prevent this? Or maybe just the lag from them?

    Why do they have 200+ spawners in one place??

    I have a cronjob to kill them every 20mins or so.

    Is it possible to setup something that kills them only around spawners?
    They regenerate very quickly. A console butcher kills 4000 of them, 10 seconds later, they're back to 4500-5000 of them.

    Don't think a spawner butcher only exist, probably very resource intensive if you add it.

    I guess your world is rather large and they xrayed all of them. :(

    This plugin might help.
    Maybe extend it to 15 spawns per chunk per minute? /setmobspawnrate 15 1
    Then the small time farms get along fine, and the big ones get punished. Reminds me of the recent changes to Tf2 idling. Heh.
