  1. If some magical way to detect weather or not the user is using a default client with no mods not even optifine if the server owner wants it to be pure vanilla the server owner can toggle that.

  2. No.. it's pretty much impossible to detect that. U can grab their settings with a special class like render distance and such. But you can't kick them if they have a client.. because the server doesn't know what clients are.. that's why it's so easy to hack and we have anti cheat ploogins :)

  3. and why is that.

    Because why would a hacked client tell the server that it's a hacked client?
    That would make no sense.

  5. This has already been suggested, i said that the client could easily spoof the packets to say its running vanilla/optifine.
    Sorry :p

  6. How would you go about verifying the client? A user can easily send whatever data he wants.

  7. Code (Text):
    @EventHandler
    public void onJoin (PlayerJoinEvent e){
    Player player = e.getPlayer();
    If (player.isFlying ()){
    player.kickPlayer("NO FLY HACKING ON OUR SERVER");

    If only it was this simple :(

  8. Or even simpler.
    Code (Text):

    @EventHandler
    public void onJoin (PlayerJoinEvent e){
    Player player = e.getPlayer();
    If (player.isHacking ()){
    player.kickPlayer("NO HACKING ON OUR SERVER! BIG SKRUB!");

  10. But if they're not flying once they join the server then they won't be kicked and are open to fly afterwards. @Latouth's example makes sense.

  11. They could have left their fly hacks on.. -_-

  12. "Oopsy, got kicked for flying. Lets just turn those off and use them after I've joined" ;)

  14. Maybe we should just lock it? This has been discussed to death since the dawn of multiplayer, already beating the dead horse of a conclusion on the first page.

    Actually, it looks like this thread is starting to head off in another direction, so I will go ahead and lock it now.
