Noise Question

  1. I have been looking through the list of sounds, and can't find a noise that is the chest break noise. I tried WOOD_CLICK, DIG_WOOD, but none of them sound like a chest breaking. Anyone know the correct sound?

  2. player.playSound(player.getLocation, Sound.STEP, Material.CHEST) <-- kinda like that

  3. Sound.STEP doesn't exist.

  4. Any ideas?? What are the other arguments?

  5. You need to tell us what the errors are for us to be able to help you.

  6. There are errors in Eclipse...

    The method playSound(Location, Sound, float, float) in the type Player is not applicable for the arguments (Location, Sound, Material, int, int)

  7. Remove the Material.CHEST argument so you get:
    Code (Text):
    player.playSound(bloc, Sound.STEP_WOOD, 10, 1);
    I think Sound.DIG_WOOD is the closest you can get to the Chest breaking sound however. Currently that specific sound is not implemented in the code.

  8. Sorry, I mixed up playEffect and playSound

  9. The correct sound should be:

    player.playSound(bloc, Sound.DIG_WOOD, 20, 20);

    Why?

    Because the Soundsystem assigns the chest to the category wood. Just Google "Minecraft sound names" for proof. There is no chest sound defined anywhere.
