Crash Not sure why... looks like maybe WorldEdit?

Discussion in 'Bugs & Feature Requests' started by irritatingness, May 12, 2013.

  1. [edit] solved.
[edit] This now happens each time I restart the server. Server is not runnable, and is suffering severe offline time... hope someone can help.
This is what I can get from the console, as for some reason, my log is NOT working... It logs nothing, and I cannot figure out why.

The crash report is also included, as attached. Any help would be nice, this has happened twice now.

Something wrong with torch "physics", i do not know what that is.

  3. The only thing I can think of is maybe someone world editted in a TON of torches, and they aren't working properly?

Does this happen on server START, or when a player joins?

Do you have any idea what happened before that first crash?

Have you tried running the server with a reset map or a backed up map?

  5. yeah, I've pretty much narrowed it down to one of my admins; I believe he used a large voxel or WE command... It's whenever he joins now. Unfortunately for me, my last backup of that map is 4 days ago... I have an idea as to how to fix this without a backup however. What is happening is the torches are layering, creating errors. So as long as those chunks don't load, and I can load the chunks around them and replace every torch inbetween chunks around such with dirt, it should fix everything. I guess this can be marked as solved now... Thanks for the help anyhow Joe :)

Not quite, if a player finds the place the admin edits - the server will still crash. I would recommend you run a chunk cleaner, I have one, but i actually cant remember what its called.

  7. Really? Alright, I shall look for a chunk cleaner, thanks!

  8. If you could find out the name of the plugin you used, that'd be great. All I can find are old, outdated plugins. And some of them just reset them chunks to a match of the seed... Which would be nice... if it didn't do the entire map.

    Minecraft region fixer.

    • Agree Agree x 1
  10. Well, I found another fix: I located the exact region file in which the crash was taking place (-2.-12) and replaced only that region from the backup from four days ago. It solved my problem, but I will definitely be keeping the region fixer for future issues, thank you :)
