  1. Hello, spigot :)
Today i got out of memory title, but i had enough free ram (about 800mb). Cpu average usage was about 15-18% and free space on the disk 30 gb
I use VDS with such parameters: 8gb ram, 2x core i7-8700k (4.7) and 40 gb ssd
    Os - debian 10, java version - 8 build 281-b09, core - paper 1.12.2
After out of memory issue i got this in the server's folder
    java -Xms6144M -Xmx6144M -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+ParallelRefProcEnabled -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=200 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch -XX:G1NewSizePercent=30 -XX:G1MaxNewSizePercent=40 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=8M -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:G1HeapWastePercent=5 -XX:G1MixedGCCountTarget=4 -XX:InitiatingHeapOccupancyPercent=15 -XX:G1MixedGCLiveThresholdPercent=90 -XX:G1RSetUpdatingPauseTimePercent=5 -XX:SurvivorRatio=32 -XX:+PerfDisableSharedMem -XX:MaxTenuringThreshold=1 -Dusing.aikars.flags= -jar server.jar nogui
total used free shared buff/cache available
    Mem: 7.8Gi 6.7Gi 742Mi 10Mi 333Mi 838Mi
    Swap: 4.0Gi 0B 4.0Gi
  2. Out of memory error. You need to reduce your memory allocation.
    • Agree Agree x 1
  3. Ikr, but I already allocated 2gb for java and debian 10. I think there is another problem, which caused this
  4. Try to reduce the allocated memory to the MC server, maybe by 1Gb will do.
    java -Xms6144M -Xmx6144M
    java -Xms5012M -Xmx5012M

I am not familiar with VDS, but that Free-h looks rather concerning for my liking.
Is there anything else running on the VDS?
  5. No, i have only 1 mc server, java and debian utils for stable work. But problem is solved - i created swap file and forgot to enable it(
