  1. As announced today, PEX 2.0 will not be a permissions plugin,
    http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/permissionsex/forum/44640-pex-2-0-information/?page=2#p32
PEX 2.0 completely dropping all permissions features.

Its a bit of outrage in that thread, so the dev might yet change his mind, but still...
What are you guys shifting too? As far as I know, PEX and zPerm are the only ones with mysql support?
Or is there any alternatives out there? Or are you staying on PEX until it breaks?

  2. I've always used PEX I don't use the mysql part but it's defiantly my favorite permissions plugin I'll probably stay with it until it breaks.

  3. bPermissions are being reworked and MySQL feature is being added on. Tho I dont know how long it will take unti plugin will be ready to use on productive server.

You can follow it here tho: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/bpermissions-enterprise-edition/

Ive been using PEX since the beginning ,-, hopefully i can try and stretch out how long I can use the plugin for before it breaks <.<

  8. Think i will keep my server running on the version below 2.0 and see how many updates it takes to break it since i am happy sticking with PEX at the moment.

  9. Pex is dying - not dead yet. And anyway, with the release of 1.6 it will become much easier to... flog a dead horse.

It's alright, I'll show myself the way out...

  11. Use GroupManager, it's simple, stable and support for it will never die, nor will the plugin itself.
