  1. At no such time should you ever be paying for a modification/plugin for Minecraft as it is against Mojang's EULA.

Any plugin, mod, or resource that uses Minecraft or Mojang's IP as covered by their ToS and EULA may not be used commercially. This is quite clear, and the line here is not gray.
Any tools you write for the Game from scratch belong to you. . Modifications to the Game ("Mods") (including pre-run Mods and in-memory Mods) and plugins for the Game also belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them, as long as you don‘t sell them for money / try to make money from them. We have the final say on what constitutes a tool/mod/plugin and what doesn‘t.
Bungee plugins and modifications seem less connected and fall under the first sentence. This also applies to resources like web applications, payment processing gateways, launcher applications, webpanels, etc. These appear to be fine for commercial use depending on their license or derivative license.

Any plugins for the game, however, are illegal and should not be sold here. This is especially concerning for our commercial partners [email protected]@Intreppid. Spigot's serving as a marketplace for illegal transactions is legally suspect and possibly makes Spigot legally liable for any illegal transaction made on this website.

Until you are able to contact Mojang and clarify the legality of these transactions, I strongly suggest that you place a moratorium on these transactions.

  3. It's terribly composed.

It legally restricts any plugin development for money, private or public. Of course I think Grum specified this was alright. Anyways, that wouldn't hold up in court.

The chance of not being able to sell plugins you've made for money holding up in court is so low.

Spigot / Bukkit is a standalone API. It does not link with Minecraft, it does not require Minecraft to function. Therefore it cannot be covered by the EULA. Mods are a different story, good thing we don't allow premium mods though :)
