Recommended Towny upkeep Rates?

  1. Okay so, I'm putting together a towny config for my server, and I set the following:

    Base Town Upkeep: $100

    Base Nation Upkeep: $1000

    Day Cycle: 1d

    Taxes are intended to be percentage based.

    With that in mind, here are my town & nation levels:

    What would you recommend? Does the upkeep price seem too excessive given the info? What town/nation levels should the rates be adjusted if too cheap/expensive.

    Keep in mind, I want a town to be costly, and a nation even more so. However, should a nation reach the highest level, there is a boon of each town having negligible town upkeep. Is this a bad idea?

    Overall, what are your reccommendations?

  2. Towny's upkeep system is most-useful at removing excess money from the server economy. It's a great way to fight inflation. You can also punish all your towns/nations by making things expensive but that's not the main purpose of the upkeep system. If you want to make things costly bump up the cost of outposts, claiming land. Bump the upkeep up when there's lots of extra money in the economy and tone it down when you feel there's a proper amount.
