  1. Hello all,

I am really interested to see if anyone is aware of any screen alternatives so I can view console etc is Linux. Would really like to switch from using Screen as I personally don’t like it.

  2. Tmux is the way to go, can't go wrong with it.

  3. Any benefits or ease of use over screen?

  4. It is indeed more stable and up to date over screen.

  5. Tmux or Byobu is the way to go for sure, ease of use and feature set is better across the board.

  6. I still use screen daily, I don't have any issues with it whatsoever, haven't for decades.

Anyway, tmux is what I am slowly moving towards to, more and more, and I don't even know why. I guess because it's a rewrite of gnu screen and i dont mind moving forward

  7. I was on a Virtual Dedicated Server and it was pooping out on me so I was informed that was the best thing to do. When I tried running a server "by hand".
