Sending strings from spigot server to bungee proxy

  1. Hi, I've been searching various spigot threads for the past day and haven't found a solution to this problem.

What I'd like to be able to do is to be able to send a string from either a
    • Spigot Server to another Spigot Server
    • Spigot Server to the Bungee Proxy Server
And to be able to do this without the requirement of having a player present.
    Is this at all possible?
  2. No. It is only possible to send it over the player connection, so you need to have a player.

  3. Using Messaging Channel - only with a player, but if you search, you can find some threads where some people described how to do it without Messaging Channel, but I think it can be more difficult...

You can use PluginMessagingChannel via a sender into spigot server and a receiver (your plugin) into the proxy server.
Handling plugin messages in BungeeCord is in an event called PluginMessageEvent.

See this and this (2nd for custom messages).
