i would *guess* that you have got corrupted chunk(s). Try running a chunk cleaner on your world.

  9. Everything I am finding is out dated related to fixing chunks anyone know of a tool that isn't exactly listed and could benefit me in this situation?

Sadly, load your old one, and wish you made more.

  11. The thing is, my server loads up fine, and this error is not shown on start up.
This error did crash my server a few times though earlier today, though I think they are being created by a plugin that is causing enormous lagg on my server which because of the lagg might be causing some issues when writing/saving chunk data. Is it possible for this to fix itself? (I teleported to the last person to sign in on my server before one of the crashes happened, and there was a nice chunk size piece of land missing) though I am not sure about the rest.

Should I be concerned or is it only a matter of time till someone loads one of these chunks up and my server crashing again?

md_5 what do you think of this? - Sorry I don't mean to bring you into my issues, but I am sure that you have great knowledge of this sort of stuff, and this is really worrying me.

  12. *facepalm*

Listen. To. What. People. Are. Telling. You.

Alternatively, let me put it in small words: you are fucked. Well, and proper fucked. One of your regions is corrupt, and this may or may not cause all sorts of crazy things happening on your map, ranging from the region's chunks regenerating, to big black holes in your world, to more regions corrupting.

So restore whatever backup you have and move on. And if you don't have backups, well, now you know why you should make backups. Optionally generate a fresh map, and that will temporarily solve your issue as well.

Your next step is to look at the amount of free disk space.

  13. What's the difference between a region and a chunk? I thought they were the same thing and I got confused when you said "regions chunks regenerating". Maybe it's just me but the error looks more like it failed to save, which would make sense as I currently have a plugin that has been taking my tps down drop to as low as 3 in almost 10 second intervals. And the lagg could of interrupted the save.

  14. I'm in a pissy mood today so if I sound like a dick, that's because I am... but.

It's lag. Not lagg. Lag. One g.

    Minecraft world storage 101:

    A region is 32 x 32 chunks
    A chunk is 1 x 1 x 16 sections
    A section is 16x16x16 blocks

This means if a region file got mangled, potentially you're looking at 32x32 chunks that may or may not start acting up.

  15. Also, lag doesn't interrupt the save. It doesn't magically make things stop working since saving the world is not part of the main thread, and as such isn't affected by any world ticks.

Now if your disk is full when it tries to save and it can't, now there's a fun problem.

  16. Ok very good to know, also my lag is being created from my plugin constantly saving to file, which is causing the lag spikes. So maybe in some way it could affect chunks as it's also loading and saving and such. This world is one of my Skyblock servers in my hub. So even if a region was corrupted it would only affect a few islands. Now because of this would it be safe to just leave it be and not worry about it? as it's such a small part of my large large world? I haven't received a crash in over 6 hours now.

  17. regionfixer still works, tried it ~1 month ago.
