  3. Yes, it is, unfortunately. That's what I had to do with my server.

  4. Yes, the chunk is corrupt and there is nothing you can do about it but replace the region file with a region file from an older world backup. Use region fixer to find out what region file the chunk is in.

It seems like there are quite a few people lately with corrupt maps. I wonder what is causing this.

I don't mean to thread hijack, I just wanted to make that observation. You should be fine after you run a region fixer. Keep in mind it will only replace/remove a chunk that is already messed up. However, always make a backup before you run a region fixer to prevent any unforeseen issues.

Edit: Just out of pure curiousity. Are you running your worlds with a RAM disk? Have you had any power failures that forcefully stopped your server? Have you had any crashes that may have prevented map data from being properly saved? Is this the first time you have had to fix a corrupt chunk?

I had a corrupt chunk issue 2 days ago because I accidentally ran 2 servers at the same time on different ports from the same world file which caused clashing - How did I accidentally do this? Long story.

  7. I ran a region fixer, and it said that it fixed the broken chunks. When I tp to the location its perfect, but when a certain player on my server loads this chunk, server crashes

  8. Please help me. Nothing is working, cant even regen the chunk to fix it.

  9. Cant even log into my server now becuase Im stuck on the chunk.

Can you log on with an alternate account? If not, you can delete your player file in the world directory and you should spawn at your default spawn area. When you can log back on you may want to try to just //regen the chunk with WorldEdit and see if that helps.

  11. I have deleted my file, do I need to restart the server for it to take effect?

  12. Jigsaw

You don't need to restart if you just deleted your player file. You should respawn at your default spawn. I would probably shut down the server and then delete your player file just to be safe.

  13. Thank you. And how should I go about removing/regening this broken chunk(s) if i cannot get to the location without a server crash?

  14. Jigsaw

Oh, right you can't go to it without crashing. Is it possible to just delete that specific region file from your world directory?

If you can manage to get the coordinates for the area, you can use math to calculate those to the appropriate region file and delete it from your world folder

Edit: or save yourself the math trouble and use Dinnerbones Calculator

  16. I've recently had a corrupt world too. I think this needs to be looked into as a priority.

Spigot does not corrupt your worlds, not saving and using /stop each time, and trying to run multiple servers from the same dir does.

  18. Thank you, you just saved my map!
