Server keeps crashing!

  1. How much ram you have?
  2. You are out of memory. Compare your starting command has parameters something like: -Xmx1250M -Xms750M which limits the memory that Java is allowed to use. Try increasing the -Xmx parameter. This is the maximum amount of RAM Java can use.

  3. 8gb

    What do you mean?
  4. I use these, just change "jars/PaperSpigot-1.8.8.jar" to where ever it's located:
    java -Xms25G -Xmx25G -jar jars/PaperSpigot-1.8.8.jar
    java -Xms1G -Xmx1G -jar jars/PaperSpigot-1.8.8.jar

    java -Xms8G -Xmx8G -jar spigot1.8.8.jar
  5. I don't do much of the system side... How would I do this? My partner is away you see, I meant 18gb by the way... not 8
  6. What do you use?, webhost aka multicraft or FTP/SSH etc?
If you do not know any of those/do not control them i cannot assist to help you sadly :(
  7. i use multicraft for my server
  8. I used to use multicraft 2years ago but it's very unstable, we had crashes many times. I cannot assist you as i'm more aware of SSH/FTP i wouldn't be able to remember how to use multicraft. Sorry, someone else may be able to assist you here! :)

You don't have enough memory on your system to run Java with the amount of ram you're running it with. Bearing in mind that Xmx only refers to heap memory, which is really only used for storing what the application itself is doing, java itself needs memory outside of the heap in order to function.
