Server not starting "SCREEN"

  1. Hey guys my Ubuntu server is acting weird. When I create a screen session as my root user the server runs properly but when I create a session with my second putty user an error happens and it just crash.

  2. You shouldn't really be tagging md_5 for this.

    It's quite easy to see the problem here, seeing as the crash log is unable to be saved, it's quite safe to assume that the user that you're running the server as, doesn't have permission to write to the files in there.

    I suggest checking your permissions for your server folder and child folders / files and fixing the problems.
     
  3. Where are the child and permissions files located at? What directory?
     
  4. I'm in urgent need of this. I have been trying to solve this issue for two days now.

    chown -R botpro:botpro /path/to/minecraft

  6. Of course, botpro would need to be the name of your server user.
     
  7. Botpro isn't actually the name, I just replace my real user with Botpro fro some safety reasons.
