Server takes forever to start

Discussion in 'Server & Community Management' started by brutuscat2, Sep 5, 2013.

  1. My server takes ~10 minutes to startup, which has never been a problem before, it used to start up in 30 seconds. Heres the hardware:
    Intel Core i5-2520m @ 2.5GHz
    16GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM
500GBx2 (RAID0) harddrives (both have been replaced from a failure)

    Heres the startup log: http://paste.md-5.net/wuhofeseji.vhdl

  2. Maybe this...
    - new cpu
    - Solid State Drives
Other than that I cannot help you
Maybe tell us what changes you made recently

  3. GET RID OF SOME PLUGINS

JESUS CHRIST THAT STARTUP LOG GAVE ME CANCER

Seems like you are doing what most do in 3 servers using Bungeecord.

    Average player count?

  5. There is no difference on a faster CPU, still just as slow. (Intel Core i7-3770k)
SSD: No. Money does not grow on trees.
The only change is the replacement of the failing Hitachi drives to a pair of Western Digital ones.

Wait I just noticed, you have a mobile processor?
I assume this is on a laptop, suggest moving this to an actual server host if that is the case.

  10. Aaaaaand there's the issue
    gg would laugh again.

  11. No, that is not the problem. This has started up in 15 seconds before, on this exact same server.

  12. Remove all the plugins, it'll start up in less than 5 - 10 seconds.

  13. My server starts up in less than 6 seconds. With all plugins. It is probably the hardware... Or software misconfiguration.

  14. all plugins = ? (how many, which)
