Shaders

Discussion in 'Systems Administration' started by miteyred, Jun 28, 2016.

  1. I have a Intel(R) HD Graphics 6000 graphics on my iMac and a 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and i want to know of I can run shaders. I have tried and failed a few times, my minecraft would keep crashing every time I try to load it up.
If there is a way to go round this please would you notify me.

    Regards

  2. I wouldn't bother, even if you did get it running the performance would be unplayable. You need at least some sort of dedicated card to get any sort of good performance.

  3. An intel 6000 graphics could maybe handle shaders mod but it would be very laggy and rendered as unplayable on your computer.

  4. Java is cpu based so getting a dedicated card won't improve it all that much.

You are right in saying that it will be unplayable, however.

  5. The graphics are OpenGL, meaning they'll use a GPU to render the game.
