Spigot 1.8 and Cauldron

    I create bukkit plugins and i wanna know if spigot is in 1.8 for development and have compatibility with cauldron (Spigot 1.8) and if the answer is yes, what is the difference of bukkit and spigot, create commands, events, or is it identic??
