Spigot & BungeeCord 1.16.1

Discussion in 'News and Announcements' started by md_5, Jun 25, 2020.

  1. Same here, pre 1.16.1 logins end up in a worldborder corner of the /spawn, we use mv-c.
    thankfully there's water there, they can /home or /spawn to start their 1.16 adventure.

    It could be I just did /home without thinking about it, and didn't really notice.

  3. Is this a spigot thing or something else I see no plugin mentioned.
    All these warnings are within the same second ?

  4. Whew! I feel better that it's not just me. :cool: I haven't seen this mentioned and a search came up empty.

    I suppose I could set Essentials to force players to the spawnpoint every time they join, but I'm not sure if their inventory would be correct. (As it is now, the players spawning in the wrong world have their creative inventory in the survival world, I think, but none of them have tried to exploit this.)

    I still think it's related to the handling of the playerdata .dat file, e.g., not picking up the world properly. It sounds like Spigot could fix this.

  5. I am not too fuzzed, it's a one time thing, ppl are maybe confused once.. it's not the end of the world to type /home. And it seems most didn't relaly care about it. I don't know if it's a spigot issue to be honest.

  6. If anyone has experienced this without using Multiverse-Core then maybe it is a spigot problem?
    But so far using Multiverse-Core with StayPut, I have had no problems.

  7. I think someone (MC? Spigot? Multiverse?) is supposed to be using WorldUUIDLeast and WorldUUIDMost when reading the old format playerdata .dat file, but it isn't. I don't know enough about this to track it down further.

  9. Some of my players are disconnecting and not coming back because they think the Creative world is gone.

  10. Having the same output here. Did you figured out the cause?

  11. That's just pretty stupid behavior, how hard is it to take a second and realise the server just upgraded and that things might be slightly different.

    "Woah what happened" -> "Just /home" -> "oh ok, tnx" <--

    "OMG it's not how i REemMEEeber #karen, disconnect FORVERVZZZ" <-- good riddance

    Don't worry about those players, they can go load their singleplayer and never update, and will always have the same grass block in front of their eyes and feel their inner peace. While the rest of the world just typed /home and continue playing in a great community.

  12. Sorry, I don't know what you're saying. I got distracted by your MASSSIIIVE signature advertisement. Geesh..

    [edit: but no, never resolved it, just living with it]

  13. They're still running 1.8.8, so they're not too keen on upgrades.

    I'm also getting that "Not a string" message. It might be from this bit of code:
    Code (Text):
    public DataResult<String> getStringValue(NBTBase nbtbase) {
        return nbtbase instanceof NBTTagString ? DataResult.success(nbtbase.asString()) : DataResult.error("Not a string");
    }

  14. Cool, also funny number

  15. I just realized some of my survival players are spawning in the wrong world, suffocating in a wall (because that's where the coordinates happen to be), and losing all their stuff. They are not happy.

  16. got this bungee error on waterfall and bungee - now my server won"t start on either
