Server log says it is an invalid jar.
Actually, it says: “could not load ‘plugins\spigot.jar’ in folder ‘plugins’ org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidDescriptionException: Invalid plugin.yml”
org.bukkit.plugin.InvalidDescriptionException: Invalid plugin.yml
Post your server log.
Edit: spigot isn't a plugin....its a loader just like bukkit.
You're trying to install it as a plugin - Spigot is not a plugin.
You need to replace your Craftbukkit with Spigot.
Well there's your problem.
Now why would I do that - replace bukkit with spigot?
Because it's meant to replace Bukkit, not a plugin for you to add.
So delete bukkit.yml and install spigot?
delete bukkit.jar and use spigot.jar instead
The is no bukkit.jar - just a craftbukkit.jar
Replace that with the spigot.jar
I did - now it shows it is running minecraft 1.4.6 - and I can’t log into my server because I am using a 1.5.2 client!
Still says it is 1.4.6!
1. Delete all the craftbukkit.jar & spigot.jar
2. If you have a panel do not select Spigot
3. Rename spigot.jar to craftbukkit.jar
4. Start the server, post the log
That is the direct download link.
