spigot.jar -v ( version ) Where is MC version?

  1. The output of this isn't as it is with the normal craftbukkit server. Instead it just shows the spigot build number.

    Code (Text):
    java -jar spigot.jar -v
    git-Spigot-519
I'm trying to get this from a script to check what version of the game it's for. The craftbukkit output looks like.

    Code (Text):
    java -jar craftbukkit.jar -v
    git-Bukkit-1.4.7-R1.0-b2624jnks
The spigot build isn't really helpful for this. Is it possible to put in the MC version too?

Also, is there a way to check what the latest build/mc version is that's been released of spigot before downloading it? It would be better than downloading the file, then checking, as that really doesn't have a benefit.

    Thanks.

You can get the version from the jar name on Jenkins.
