    Hi Everyone,

We are seeking to recruit a few new staff to take on a variety of positions around SpigotMC. The requirements of all roles are as follows:
    • Be an active member of the community for at least 3 months
    • Be able to dedicate an average of at least 3 hours a week to being involved with SpigotMC
    • Be present on IRC whenever possible
In addition to this, there are many other factors which we may consider when reviewing applications, including, but not limited to:
    • Extent, consistency and usefulness of involvement and contributions within the community
    • Previous warnings and reports on the forums
    • General attitude, behaviour, presentation and manner (including outside of SpigotMC)
    • Ability to speak languages other than English (working proficiency / CEFR B2)
    • Existing involvement with SpigotMC outside of the forums (IRC etc)
(Junior) Forums Moderator: Forums moderators help to keep the forums neat and tidy. They are involved in all aspects of SpigotMC and depending on other factors such as age may play a significant role in the overall governance of the project. In addition to the standard requirements you must have at least 250 posts on the forums to apply for this position.

Last Day to Apply (29 Jun): Resource Staff (Non Approval): The chosen resource staff member(s) will be responsible for dealing with reports and issues pertaining to the resources section of the website. They will not be responsible for approval / moderation of plugins. In addition to the standard requirements you must have at least 100 posts on the forums and be able to understand (but not necessarily write) Java code.

Social Media: We are considering the creation of a new role to help manage the Twitter and Facebook pages of the project. What this role will entail is largely up to you, but we envisage that it will involve sharing of outstanding quality community content as well as the writing of short highlights or "blog" style posts about said content. In addition to the standard requirements you must be able to speak English at a native level, have at least 100 posts on the forums, and have been a community member for at least 6 months. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate previous experience in similar roles (e.g. regarding their server, plugin, sports club, business, etc.). As part of your application you should let us know what you plan to bring to the role.

If you would like to apply for any of these positions, please email [email protected] with your application. Your application should include a link to your profile and a short explanation of who you are (please include age and location). In previous rounds we found that the highest quality applications were a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 500. If you do not meet any of the requirements listed please do not send in an application.

We will begin assessing applications no sooner than 3 days from now and will remove this post when they are closed (not before then). Please note that due to the large number of applications we expect to receive, we cannot respond to each. There is also no target number which we wish to recruit - it may be none at all, or many, depending on who is right for the role.
