  1. Forced? Forced to update? Who exactly is forcing you? Forced to buy again? Who's going to force you to buy it again?

  2. As there are developers that make a living from premium plugins we clearly have a need for an "OnlyOwners" alternative selling plattform which allows "Content creators [to] earn money from users who subscribe to their content"

At least for myself spigot is more about the forums, help section, and the resources come later - Just my sarcastic five cents :)

€: Not so sneaky spelling edits

  3. Spigot should take devs seriously and with respect.
Plugin devs are what makes spigot what it is.
If plugin devs go somewhere else we go somewhere else too.
Spigot should look into this to ensure that everything has been handled fairly and that devs get the tools they need to keep doing what theyre doing.

  4. Posting just this part of their conversation is a bit misleading as it implies that a question was not answered when in reality it was. Here's the link to the beginning of that conversation where the moderator in question clearly answers the question as to why a resource was moved to inactive. https://imgur.com/a/nhtZWdv

  5. If you really want spigot to keep its reputation, stop this. People will just stop using this and this story is getting around everywhere now

  6. ONLYOWNERS LMAO

  7. the only people that will stop using spigot for resources because of this thread are people who are desperate enough to sign this petition

  8. Agreed! If Spigot wants to continue being one of the largest marketplaces for Minecraft plugins, then they need to treat the developers who make it great in the first place with more dignity. When a service relies solely on the users that contribute to it, more thought and respect needs to go into resolving issues like this rather then just terminating a resource all together. @md_5 and the staff of Spigot need to work WITH developers, and not against them.

Add more payment gateways, clarify the TOS, and give adequate warnings if someone is breaking it BEFORE taking action.

  9. Make that 11 and more to come. Please do share the link. LINK PLEASE or are you scared of seeing it rise?

  10. Then GC asked the moderator where it says that it's not allowed, and he replied with that.
How does the beginning of that conversion help to prove your point?

  12. Change.org petitions rarely do anything, especially for a petition with 100 signatures for a forum that has almost 1,000,000 users.

  14. Wouldn't it be easier to just simply remove direct access to premium resources and instead have something like:

"This is a premium resource. You'll be taken to the owner's website. This website is not affiliated with SpigotMC. SpigotMC only acts as a medium to tell you where to find it."

Something along those lines. SpigotMC can simply say "It's not our problem" and move on. Devs can decide for themselves how to handle payments and secure their plugins. Everyone happy.

  15. Then we all agree Spigot should have at least one more payment gateway . IMHO it'd be great to have alternatives to pay for plugins, more flexibility.

  16. This would be one of the many great alternatives to the terrible system in place currently.

  17. This place would be just another drab forum in the multiverse of drab forums without the best Developers present, they made this site what it is, they bring the real traffic here.

You are aware that a stupid change.org petition won't change a thing?
Like change.org is pretty much a meme with all the bullshit petitions that gets created each day from which only a tiny amount really gets something moving... and then only because it already was viral or in the public news.
Nobody gives bullshit about a forum regarding a server software having rules that are "mean" to the devs

  19. Up!

Keep our greatest minecraft dev !

  20. If you read what I said, you would understand what point I'm trying to prove? That the question you're implying wasn't being answered was already answered and it was misleading to provide an incomplete conversation to prove a point.
