Upgrade Cpu or not?

  1. I currently have Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2 - Processor (with DDR3 RAM)
    (Link: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...-processor-e5-2680-v2-25m-cache-2-80-ghz.html) - 10 Cores, 20 Threads, 2.80 Ghz, 25MB Cache

I could upgrade to Intel Core i7 6700 - Processor (with DDR3/DRR4 RAM)
    (Link: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...7-6700-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-00-ghz.html) - 4 Cores, 8 Threads, 3.40 Ghz, 8MB Cache

Prices: I currently have the "bad" CPU and 5 GB Ram which costs me 5€. With the better CPU the host would charge me 10€ for the same amount of RAM.

Ingame info: I'm out of RAM already (alone on server, but with plugins and on laggy MC 1.13.2) and have 17-20 TPS, when I spawn ~400 Entities my TPS drops to 10TPS. Planned: Two big maps with 3000-6000 worldborder-radius and about 20 players to join.

Question: Would you get the better CPU + 10 GB RAM or instead current CPU + 20GB RAM? Is the i7 cpu so much better and worth it? or would be extra ram more helpful? can more ram compensate a bad cpu?

Thank you a lot for your help!

Well, you said you are out of RAM already so the answer seems pretty obvious; go with the larger RAM option. Upgrading your CPU won't help if you are out of memory. At prices that cheap, I'd just upgrade both.
