The 950 is 2500/1500 read and write. I've benched my 950 at 2500/2300 as long as it stays cool. Once it heats up it drops to 2500/1500. I added heat sinks to the chips and removed the thermal paper. This helps it maintain the 2500/2300 consistently. I'm sure the same could be done for the WD. I don't own one, so I can't comment on the speeds it would produce. The price is $100 to $150 less than the 950. I remember my 950's cost in excess of $400 each.
