  1. In the poll above are the options to choose from.

We have a minigame that runs flawlessly with 20 players on 1 gig of ram on a Intel Xeon E5-1650v4 @ 4.00GHz.

We want to buy a dedicated server and to split the dedicated server into as many 1 gig servers as possible.

We will be using multicraft to split our servers.

Which option will allow us to host the most 1 gig servers each holding 20 players with the best performance for the cheapest price?

I hear a 32 gig is better than a 64 gig because of bandwidth but I'm not certain. The most gigs any server will need is 1 gig and the most players and server will have is 20.

Please elaborate with you answers as much as possible.

  2. Any reason you want an E3 or E5 only?

  3. Okay so I’m seeing the list off SoYouStart. First off good choice for a dedicated server host, for hosting a large scale server. I’d suggest you search there single core peformance since minecraft servers can only use a single core unless your magic and make it so your dedi can switch it from core to core. But try the game serves on there. A 6700k would be a good decision. Or get the 1630v3. But if you want something else, on Hetzner you can pick up a E3-1275 with 32GB of ram as that is a good entry level server processor. But if your mainly looking for NA the 6700k or the E5-1630v3 will be your best option. There isn’t that much of a difference between the 1630v3 and 1650v3

  4. I would recommend the GAME-3 with 6700K as E3 is not the best for Minecraft.

  5. that isnt on the list of my options
