Where do I go?

  1. I realized recently that I've been using Minecraft more as an engine than a game. I get an idea (to make some kind of AI, for example) and I find a way to make that in Minecraft. But I want to move on to something that was meant to be an engine rather than a game. I think that would be less limiting. I would prefer to stay with Java, though. Any ideas?

Make your own game in Java :p

  3. Here's a big ol' list of game engines, pick out the Java ones if you want to stick with Java:

  4. Thanks guys, I decided to just go for LWJGL and try out making a game. :)

  5. If you want to stick to Java, consider game development for Android. For that purpose, I've used a library called LibGDX. Check it out.

  6. LibGDX lets you target pc, iOS, Android and html5 all with the same code base.
