MobEvolution - Setting Up an Arena
1. Get a selection wand
Run the command /mobe wand to get the wand
2. Select the two corners of the arena
Select the top right corner and the bottom left corner. Select both with different mouse clicks(Right and left)
If you want to edit a selected corner, select again
3. Run the create command
Run the create arena command which has the following syntax:
/mobe create <name> <maxPlayers>
Name: name for your arena
MaxPlayers: the max amount of players for this arena
A new arena is created. This command will fail if an arena with that name exists.
4. Set the lobby, spectator and player spawn
The lobby spawn is where players are teleported to when waiting for a game to start
Please note that setting the lobby spawn and hub spawn are different things. (Hub is where the players will teleport to after the game ends or if they lose)
To set the lobby spawn, run the set lobby command which has the following syntax:
It will take the position you are currently at as the lobby spawn. This command will fail if your location is not inside the arena region.
Note that there is a marker for you to easily find the lobby location. You can even teleport to it by using /mobe teleport lobby <arena>
The spectator spawn is where players are teleported to if they want to spectate
The same goes to setting the spectator spawnpoint with /mobe setspectator
Setting up the player spawn is somehow similar. The player spawn is where players are teleported to when the game starts. The numbers of player spawn depends on the maxPlayers value for that arena
To set a player spawn, run the set player spawn command which has the following syntax:
/mobe setplayerspawn <number>
It sets the spawnpoint for player number x, where x > 0 and <_ maxPlayers. To change the location, set it again
5. Enable the arena
Once you have done all of that, its time for you to enable the arena. Arenas which are not enabled cannot be joined. You will only need to run this command once.
If you recieved a message like this, it means that you have left something out.
- do /mobe info <arena> , it shows you what locations are not set
- Open the manager and make a check there
You can check if an arena is enabled by doing /mobe list
